My Story

When I began my leadership journey years ago, I had great ideas, an intense work ethic, and a strong desire to win. I took on project after project, received praise (and some criticism), and years later found myself drowning in work. My self-care and personal life were dwindling, and as a leader, I was struggling to get people to do what I wanted. Instead, I faced resistance, slow progress, and poor results.

So, I spent more money than I’d like to admit on reputable leadership courses—both in soft and hard skills—earning titles and certificates. But the results still didn’t come. Meanwhile, I watched others achieve better outcomes with more ease, less effort, and greater influence. That’s when I had to admit to myself that the problem might run deeper than I thought. The real issue might be my attitude.

The truth is, your attitude both hides and exposes your insecurities. It benefits only you—not your team or your business. That’s why your bad attitude is holding your team back from performing.

Getting to the root of your attitude—so you don’t have to pretend, play politics, crumble under criticism, or grow cold and callous—makes it possible to learn, grow, and build teams that actually want you to succeed. It’s not difficult, but it requires a completely different kind of work than any leadership course will ever teach.

I first developed a program for myself, then applied it to others, who are now leading teams where people show up prepared, energized, full of bold ideas, and ready to deliver results. This allows leaders to dream bigger while also reclaiming their personal lives. As a doctor, I understand how this works from every angle.
